Very Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Butter cream Frosting recipes

So I’m taking a break from trying to preftec the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Buttercream frosting (just the name is a mouth full). And have moved on to Very Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream frosting.

Now I found the recipie sometime in the long forgotten past. This is the first time I’ve made it. And i changed it a bit to fit our Make It Super Lemon state of mind. I added extra lemon zest and the lemon extract was not in the origional recipies. But they came out to lemonie perfection! So YAY. And unlike the cupcakes that shall not be named (PBC with PBB) the bottoms of theses didn’t burn and they puffed up perfectly. Bloody Cakes was pleased.

My pics came poopy! The cupcakes on the other hand are YUM!

Beware CPBC with PBB i shall concure you someday!

ON to the recipie ducklings…

Spooning leades to…

Forking! And other naughty things.

Spooning leads to forking

Spooning leads to forking

Yes my kitten’s, Bloody Cakes has branched out, expanded her world, concurred a new and exciting task, in other words learned the basics of embroidery! And what does she do with this new fondness for needlepoint you may ask? Why she makes “naughty” cutlery, what else? And why is she talking in the third person?

Here my little doll faces is my second peice. I found it on the internets (where i seem to get most of my inspiration these days). It was a sticker someone or another had on there myspace i think. I found it funny and perfect for my kitchen and went about finding a version i could trainsform into embroiderie gold.  It took me about 2 days and 5 or 6 hours. Remember lambs that I’m new to all this so don’t be to hard on me.

This episiode was brought to you by the websight Neddle’

This site has video of a lady with mad skilz. And she showes you and talks you through how to do not only basic starter stitches. But she goes on to show you more advanced ones also.

Now if Bloody Cakes could only figure out those damn french knots.

Shrinky Dinks…. not just for kids anymore!

Thats right kittens. Shrinky Dinks are comin back. And more often then not it’s us big “kids” playing with them. For $9.99 you can get a pack of 10 sheets, just a bit smaller then a piece of paper. You can even put them in your printer as long as it doesn’t get hot wile printing.

I have made a handful for earrings for The Spawn to wear to school. Most of the designs i got from photobucket. I just printed them off and traced them onto the shrinky dink sheet. After shrinking i used a spray paint gloss to seal them. These will be made into earrings/necklaces.

Sleepy Frankenstein *my original design*

Zombie Heart *my original design*

Girly Skull

I’m working up some origional stuff to use too. People are doing some crazy stuff with these now a days. Pretty cool stuffs.

Peanut…..peanut butter and Chocolate…….

Does anyone remember this song? I know some of the words. Granted back in my kindergarten days it was ~~Peanut…….peanut butter and jelly~~~  i can’t remember any more then that though. There where some actions to it I think.

Anyways 🙂 On to cupcake goodness.

I found a cupcake recipe on Bake & Destroy! And it looked so yummy to my brain meats. I’m really trying to go as home made as i can when ever i can. I mean really, if I’m gonna fill my boy with bad stuff like sugar and fat. The least I can do is make sure there are as few unnatural things as possible in my yummy treats. So wile meandering through B&D i came across this Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes Yes! Home made chocolate peanut butter cupcakes with a peanut butter butter cream frosting. I don’t think you could get anything more yummy then this. Just reading the recipe had my brain going nom nom nom. And you will never find a more tasty frosting. EVER!

So i went out and got the peanut butter. We eat a lot of peanut butter. I really don’t think just saying we do is going to get the point acrost. So here is picture proof of our peanut butter problem.

Yep that’s 5 Jars of PB.

And here is a picture of batch #3.

Note my 3 year old boy The Hatchling pointing out the cupcake. You know in case anyone missed it.

It took me 3 try’s to get the cupcakes to come out to my satisfaction. I sill think I could do better.  I did alter the recipie a bit. First i used creamy peanut butter in batch #3. I also used milk chocolate and peanut butter chips. My oven seems to hate me and is burning the bottoms just a bit. SO i think i need to recalibrate it.

So Bake & Destroys Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes are a WIN. My oven is a Fail.

Hello world! And other catchy phrases!

Yes the life of Bloody Cakes is taking off. Ok, so this is my first blog kind of. I had a LJ but dumped it to start anew. A new what I’m not sure. Most likely this will be a mash up of all my favorite things. Zombies…….Cupcakes…………Music…………….Video Games………….Movies………..with a slapdash of my crafts. You know just to keep things hopping.

But at the mo its getting late so this Bloody Cake is gonna get some shut eye.
